TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. General Overview

Rose Archive is a UK based luxury handbag sourcing and resale platform specialising in pre-owned designer handbags. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by the brands we sell. All authentication opinions, whether internal or third-party, are based on professional judgement at the time of assessment.

2. Authenticity Guarantee

Ensuring the authenticity of every item we sell is a core commitment of our store. We recognise the trust our customers place in us when purchasing vintage and designer pieces, and we take that responsibility seriously through a rigorous and considered authentication process.

In certain cases, third-party authentication services or certificates (such as digital or AI-assisted tools) may be provided at our discretion. These certificates are not available for all items and cannot be requested after an order has been dispatched. The absence of a third-party certificate does not constitute grounds for a return, dispute, or refund.

We stand fully behind the authenticity of every item we sell. Should an item ever be found to be inauthentic, we will provide a full refund, irrespective of standard return timeframes.

3. Condition Guide

Rose Archive provides a Condition Guide to support both buyers and consignors in understanding how pre-owned items are assessed, described, and presented for sale. Condition classifications are based on our internal standards and professional judgement and take into account age, use, and overall presentation.

For consignors, the Condition Guide is used at the submission stage to assist with selecting the most accurate condition for an item. All condition selections are reviewed upon inspection, and Rose Archive reserves the right to amend condition classifications, descriptions, and pricing where necessary to ensure accurate representation.

For buyers, condition descriptions, images, and disclosures form part of the item listing and should be reviewed carefully prior to purchase. Minor signs of wear consistent with pre-owned items are not considered defects.

4. Consignment Services

Rose Archive also offers a consignment service for individuals wishing to sell pre-owned items through our platform. All items submitted for consignment are subject to a separate Consignment Terms & Conditions, which govern matters including item acceptance, condition assessment, authenticity, pricing, commission, payment, and withdrawal.

By submitting items for consignment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the applicable Consignment Terms & Conditions, which form a binding agreement between you and Rose Archive and are incorporated by reference into these Terms.

5. Product Images & Colour Representation

Product images on our website are provided for reference purposes only. While we take care to represent colours as accurately as possible, variations in screen settings and display devices may affect how colours appear. As a result, the item you receive may differ slightly in tone or shade from the images shown online.

5.1 Pre-Owned Condition & Wear

Unless otherwise specified, all items sold are pre-owned. While we provide comprehensive descriptions and images to ensure clarity, pre-owned items may show subtle signs of wear, age, or minor imperfections, which are inherent to their nature. These characteristics are not considered grounds for return. Additional condition details or images may be requested via email prior to purchase.

6. Item Packaging

To ensure our items are delivered to our beloved clients, the packaging process of each product is managed discreetly, meaning that no branding is added to the exterior of the package, our wrapping paper is black/silver, and our dustbags remain unbranded.

6.1 Shipping Costs

Shipping costs will be displayed at the time of purchase. The buyer is solely responsible for any duties, taxes, or customs charges incurred in connection with the shipment. Rose Archive shall not be held liable for any additional charges.

6.2 International Shipping

Import duties and taxes are not included in the purchase price and will be invoiced separately by the courier. If these charges are not paid, the shipment will be returned. In such cases, the courier will apply the applicable taxes, return shipping costs, and an administration fee. These charges will be passed on to the customer or deducted from any store credit. Refunds will only be issued if the courier reimburses these costs.

6.3 Shipping Returns

Customers are liable for all return shipping costs. Where a shipping label is provided, it is offered for convenience only. If an alternative shipping method is used, the customer assumes full responsibility for the shipment, including tracking, loss, or damage. International returns must be accompanied by correctly completed customs declarations.

7. Refund Policy

As a resale platform operating on a consumer-to-consumer basis we do not offer refunds. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, we may offer an exchange or store credit, provided you contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

The item must be returned unworn and in the same condition as received, complete with all original accessories and documentation. Items that fail to meet these conditions will not be eligible for exchange or credit. International orders are not eligible for refunds; however, this does not affect our lifetime authenticity guarantee.

8. Security and Retention of Information

Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee "perfect security". In addition, any information you send to us may not be secure while in transit. We recommend that you do not use unsecure channels to communicate sensitive or confidential information to us.
